A Life Once Lost was a metal band formed in 1999 in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After a string of releases on Robotic Empire and Deathwish Inc., A Life Once Lost released their successful album, Hunter on Ferret Music in 2005. The group supported the release by touring with groups such as Throwdown, As I Lay Dying, Lamb of God, Clutch, Opeth, Strapping Young Lad, and took Part in the Ozzfest 2006.

September 2007 saw the release of their latest album, Iron Gag, featuring musical guests Devin Townsend of Strapping Young Lad, Anthony Green of Circa Survive, and Randy Blythe of Lamb of God. The band supported the album with tours alongside High on Fire, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Saviours, Suicide Silence, and Job for a Cowboy.

Their last album, Ecstatic Trance, came out in 2012.

So, I pre-ordered "Citadel" from Ne Obliviscaris, and "Earthborn Evolution" from Beyond Creation, both on vinyl from Season of Mist. Received them this week... And there was a copy of "Ecstatic Trance" in the package... Booklet and everything. Everything except the case. What gives?

Which I'm sure was there intention, though I can understand why people would dislike/find it boring. I think with their discography being stylistically being so all over the place it was going to be hard to please everyone

Really like their lastest (last) album, it doesn't go anywhere quick but man it's so good for just relaxing. Has that sort of chilled out vibe, well for me at least

"Really loved these guys when they were active, seems they've moved on. I always envisioned a tour with The Red Chord, A Life Once Lost and Dead To Fall. To bad it will never happen." [2] I miss Dead to Fall :[ Perfect line-up is perfect though

Seems cant quite count plays. Claims I have 203 scrobbles of these guys, then I looked at the song plays, 101 plays for "Hunter" and 62 for "Iron Gag."

I just saw them last night. Only played Vulture and new material. Was still cool. Hopefully they don't take years before playing here again

There are a couple of really good songs but overall the album drags a bit for me.

Well it's kind of boring, it's not like this album is earth shattering in any way. I still like it though.
