The album, “v” was recorded during the turn of the century winter in a cold cabin in Nome, Alaska.
The most recent release by 76, “Objects in Space” was recorded between 2005 and 2006 and not released in its entirety until August 8, 2008. The album features many songs that sample the popular cult television series Firefly. The album was also a departure from previous 76 releases in that is the first album the Sir Mildred Pierce can be heard singing on in the three songs “The Ocean and the Desert Sea”, “Christmas Trees and Bumblebees”, and “Out of Gas”. E_B_A also contributed his turntablist skills to the track “Out of Gas”.
76 distribute their music on the popamericana recording company label.
