66e have grown into something that subverts post rock, placing dramatic, immediate, vigorous cinematic style music beside the startling vocals of Ed Cullen. A sudden fragment of climactic sound and an obsession with the dark at the top of the stairs…

Edward, David, Michael, Anthony and Alastair relayed the feelings from their nodes to various recording modules in Lisanton Cottage in a remote part of County Cavan, Ireland. These sounds, the zapped energy and off/on skies became ‘Fall down 7 times… stand up 8’.

Released in 2005, the album received rave reviews (see below) and is continuing to gain the band fans from across the world.

Following the release of the album the band spent much of 2005 gigging to and gaining exposure across Ireland with TV and Radio performances. The peak of which was an unforgetable performance at the Irelands biggest music festival ‘Oxegen’, sharing the stage with Interpol, Athlete, Turn and Ian Brown. Later in the summer the band wound up a heavy schedule with a show at the Hard Working Class Heroes festival, a showcase weekend for Ireland’s top unsigned bands.
