NPR.org, April 4, 2007 - 63 Crayons produce dark, danceable psychedelia out of Athens, Georgia. Their new album is Spoils for Survivors.

Charlie Johnston (guitar) began recording and performing the band's mysterious songs in his hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Suzanne Allison (bass, keys) and Ben Davis (electronics, theremin) added texture to the songs as founding members of 63 Crayons.

  • @jackmrhsc: I agree, Spoils for Survivors is a real disappointment. @sseeaa: I bought the new album from Amazon.com's mp3 download service, and they have the artist tagged as just "63 Crayons", not "The 63 Crayons." So I assume that's what it should be, unless I changed it myself and forgot.
