Let’s not make it more than it is. These songs were recorded in the house that Naz grew up in. The house is at the intersection of 54th Street and Streamview Ave. Oak Park, South East San Diego. There was a doorway in his room which had been hidden by a tapestry which led directly into the room next to his. For years no one knew there was a door to another room there. We worked in that room. 11 meetings. Heavy Beats + Poetry. 6 Tracks. 25 Minutes.

Nazareth Pratt – Is a Poet, Percussionist, Sushi Lover, Earth Souljah and Freedom Fighter. Naz won a 2004 SDMA with Los Able Minded Poets. 2007 saw the release of his solo CD, For Everyone and Then Some. Do not leave him open. He will drain the jumper. He currently co-hosts the Stream of Consciousness open mic at The Centro Cultural De La Raza in Balboa Park which takes place every other Tuesday.

Tim Pacheco - One of San Diego’s musical treaures, Tim has been fronting his main project,
Psydecar, for over 12 years now. He’s had stints in Wise Monkey Orchestra and Soul
Power and traveled the world as a member of P.O.D.’s touring band. Listen up.

Rudy Palos - is a SD native, avid vinyl collector, producer, composer, DJ, all around sound and music guy. His stint in Able Minded Poets was where he first met and worked with Nazareth. He can D-up and is deadly from the elbow. When asked to succinctly explain this release Mr. Palos answers simply, ‘This is new Soul Jazz. Laptop guided improvisation.’ We are asked to feast on these humble sounds; handmade and built from scratch.
