Fat Jon the Ample Soul Physician (born Jon Marshall) is an American hip hop producer from Cincinnati, Ohio and one of the four members of Five Deez, alongside Pase Rock, Sonic, and Kyle David. He is also credited with some of the music in the anime series Samurai Champloo.

J. Rawls has worked with everyone from Masta Ace, The Beastie Boys, Wordsworth, Black Star and J Sands (who he works with as one half of Ohio’s group Lone Catalysts). With his earliest recollection of from movies such as ”Wild Style” and ”Beat Street” and influenced by Madlib, Pete Rock and Jay Dee he has always produced and made music he has loved.
