Biography
East Lansing MI, United States (1995 – 2006)
Formed in 1995 in East Lansing, MI and as of November 2006, 19 Wheels (also on last.fm as Nineteen Wheels) played their last show are are on infinite hiatus. In total the band released two EPs: The Tempermill Recordings (1995) & This Is The Life (2006) and three LPs: Six Ways From Sunday (1996), Sugareen (2001) & Jawbreaker (2004). They also appeared on many compilation albums including Aware Records’ AWARE 4 Compilation (1996), The Michigan Compilation (1997) & AWARE 5 Compilation (1997) as well as WGRD’s RadioActiv & Bootleg series.
The band began with an alt-country sound on The Tempermill Recordings and some of Six Ways From Sunday but transitioned to a power-pop/rock sound over the course of their albums. 19 Wheels was Chris Johnston, Scott Owens, Tim Marzaroti and Rob Dickey as well as former members Jesse Soriano, Greg Williams and Pico Gensterblum.

From 19wheels.com:
19 Wheels is a Midwest rock band. Period.
Their self-released 2001 debut (don’t be fooled by the Standard Records imprint) sold over 13,000 copies. They shared stages with bands who had wads blown on them way larger, with less fortunate results. But enough of that talk.
After taking the majority of 2003 to record the follow up CD, the band is set to hit 2004 on the ground and running. The new CD, Jawbreaker, is a knockout. While People Magazine said Sugareen had “more hooks than a tackle box”, Jawbreaker is filled with enough uppercuts, right crosses and donkey punches to more than get the job done.
