12012 is a band from Osaka, Japan. The band can also be recognized as a former band.

The band was formed on May 1st 2003 and consists of five members; Wataru Miyawaki (宮脇渉, vocals), Hiroaki Sakai (酒井洋明, guitar), Yuusuke Suga (須賀勇介, guitar), Tomoyuki Enya (塩谷朋之, bass) and Tohru Kawauchi (川内亨, drums).

In summer 2003, they released their first single “depression sign” on their indies label UNDER CODE PRODUCTIONS. After releasing a couple of singles and mini-albums in 2004 and 2005, they finally released their first full album “PLAY DOLLs” on February 1st 2006.

In late 2006, 12012 got signed in Europe by the record label GAN-SHIN Records. 12012 had their first European concert in Munich, Germany on September 29th 2006. Their first concert in the United States was at Oni-con in Texas on October 20th 2006.

On March 3rd 2007, an European edition of their debut album “PLAY DOLLs” was released in Europe by GAN-SHIN.

In June 2007, they released their first single “CYCLONE” on their major label NAYUTAWAVE RECORDS on Univeral Music Japan. The single was the ending theme for the Gonzo anime TV-series, Romeo x Juliet, the single was avaliable in three editions. Their second major single “SHINE” was released on October 17th 2007 also this one was avaliable in three editions.

On December 12th 2007, they released their second full album “DIAMOND” by NAYUTAWAVE RECORDS.

In 2008, they released three singles “MERRY GO WORLD” (on April 16th), “太陽” (Taiyou, on August 20th) and “逢いたいから…” (Aitai kara… on October 29th), all avaliable in three editions.
