1001 is a new and exciting alternative pop band from Trondheim, Norway, signed to Norwegian indie label RhinoProd Records. 1001’s selftitled debut album was released in the fall of 2009 to widespread critical acclaim and supported by extensive touring, both in Norway and abroad.1001 is putting the finishing touch a more pop oriented sophomore effort due out in January, 2011.
1001s debut album was recorded in lead singer Conor Patrick’s own Trondheim Studio, which gave the band the freedom to be both creative and inventive. Everything from intricate choir and string arrangements to antiquarian pianos; old creaking doors and even the sound of a locomotive passing by have been recorded to give the record som extra spice.
