First there where two. Then there were three, then there were four, then lots of other variations of these numbers. Now once again there are two. The blonde one and the brown haired one.

It all started in days gone by. Acoustic guitars were strummed. Songs were written. The Hairy Palmers were born. Woodsy went around the world (although not in the Daft Punk direction). Cider and Black, Potatoman, Atticus…all were…then weren’t. We all went traveling.

Then, it was time for something different. 1. Electric guitars 2. Bass 3. Electronics and sequencers 4. Drums machines 5. 100 Bullets Back.

Records were released and some people got excited. Limited edition 7” singles, The Lost Souls Club / Violence and I KnOw / Bangkok (Velocity Recordings). And an album? Yes. Refute Fake Icons (Velocity Recordings). Electro pop. Lovely.

Even some airplay? Yes from London to Los Angeles, continually play listed by Rodney Bingenheimer on KROQ in LA, championed by Claire Sturgess on XFM in London, plays on numerous local and college stations and for good measure airplay in Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Serbia. A tour of Italy followed. Yeah!

And gigs. Support slots with Bloc Party, TV On The Radio, The Zutons, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, Tom Vek, The Young Knives, Shy Child, Metronomy, Zoot Women and a slot at the legendary Truck Festival (including the very ltd. edition U.21 Girls EP) to name but a few… some people were still excited.

Then there was our club night…ARF? DJs, DJs everywhere…and Crime. Two years of beats, beats and more beats. Beats are good, although all good things come to an end don’t they?
