I thought Century of Self was the best. I really don't understand the love for ST&C. Mediocre in my opinion. And Tao was pretty damn good too.

robinofdarkness were an amazing band IMO, shame they tailed off after worlds apart although century of self does have its good points but so divided was poor and still unsure about tao of the dead.. my fave album by them will always be madonna followed closely by the self titled... new fans of the band, listen to the first 4 albums if you havent already and tell me their new sound is better

I think Source Tags & Codes is their best album, but they have a ton of great songs and different sounds all over, from all their albums. Intelligence is my favorite Trail of Dead song.

Nobody's pissed, but the phrase indie has been nonsensical since people decided it didn't mean what it means. It's just a record label term.

So indie is a subgenre of a subgenre with many subgenres and it's indescribable, unless of course you're describing its subgenres. And isn't alternative rock a subgenre of post-rock, a subgenre of rock? So then indie is really a subgenre of a subgenre of a subgenre with many subgenres!

friskysman in this humble music fan's opinion, the smashing pumpkins were the band of the 90s and trail of dead were the band of the 00s. (sure, there's a little overlap...considering my favorite sp record came out in 2000 and my favorite tod record came out this year). here's to both bands continuing to do great things in the 10s.
