Sookmyung Gayageum Orchestra was organized in 1999 as the first Gayagum Orchestra in South-Korea.
Gayagum is the Korean tranditional string instrument which has 12 strings.It released its first album in 2000. It plays the Gayagum for the Korean tranditional music and sometimes for the popular pops (such as ‘The Beatles”) or the very well-known classical music to popularize its performance.
