Park Hyo Shin (박효신, born December 1, 1981) is a Korean singer most famous for his mature voice singing the Korean version of “Snowflower” by Mika Nakashima. His albums include 해줄 수 없는 일, Second Story, A Tribute to 들국화, Time-Honored Voice, Soul Tree, Neo Classicism (remake album), The Breeze of Sea and his latest album, Gift (released 2009). He was also featured in The Hwang Project’s Single, “Castle of Zoltar.
” In the opinion of many Korean R&B/ballad listeners, Park Hyo Shin is considered one of the best vocalists currently in Korea due to the husky quality present in his voice. With his golden voice, Park Hyo Shin has established himself as one of the top male vocalists in Korea.
Park Hyo Shin was educated at Kyung-hee University and majored in post-modern music.
Park was discovered by Lee Sora (이소라) and first appeared on TV in her music talk show, Lee Sora’s Propose Show, which showcased live performances of artists. On November 4th 1999 on a open radio concert outdoor, he debuted with “Things I Cannot Do For You”, later followed up by the song “Fool”. The songs became hits. Later, Park actively performed in various events like participating in the musical Rock Hamlet, a tribute album for Deulgukhwa, That Only Is My World and a duet with Lee Sora on her 4th album.
