South Korea (2008 – present)

Choi Minho (born December 9, 1991), mononymously known as Minho, is a South Korea rapper, vocalist, dancer, model, host, actor and endorser. He is most famous as being one of the members of contemporary pop group, SHINee, under the label of SM Entertainment. His father, Choi Yun-Gyeom, is a well-known South Korean soccer coach.

Before debuting with SHINee, Minho modeled for Ha Sang Baek’s Seoul Collection F/W 08-09 in March. In 2008 he was the 3rd Youth International Video Festival “the aura” Goodwill Ambassador with SHINee co-member, Key. In 2009, he appeared in SNSD’s music video for their song, “Gee” in both its Korean and Japanese versions. Also, he was featured in VNT’s debut music video, “Sound.” He is a Konkuk University student and ambassador.

He is a permanent cast member in KBS’s Dream Team Season 2 along with SHINee’s Taemin. He is often being dubbed as the “ace” of the show, winning the challenges on numerous occasions. He was also the host of MBC’s Music Core, along side fellow SHINee’s member Onew. Minho also took part in the KBS program Oh! My School with other K-pop stars such as 2PM, U-KISS, Super Junior, Miss A, FT Island, B2ST, Sistar and Rainbow, Ms. Korea 2009 with MC’s Park Myung Soo, Park Kyung Lim, Tony An, and Yoo Sae Yoon.

He debuted as an actor on November 20, 2010 in one-episode KBS Drama Special, entitled Pianist. His co-star is actress Han Ji-hye.
