Biography

In South Korea, early 2005, a new male trio was born. Calling themselves Mary Story, these three boys were pegged as the next stars by industry insiders. Mary Story takes its name from the bookstore founded by renowned poet Park In Hwan right after Korea’s emancipation from Japanese occupation. Complementing their unique lyrical melody is the voice of Park Gun Joon, the lead singer and main guitarist of Mary Story. Park displays an amazing vocal range that covers up to three octaves. The group’s music is comprised of three basic instruments: guitar, bass, and drums. But with piano and strings fluidly rearranged into the underlying score, the result is the group’s own unique blend that distinguishes them from any other groups.
