錦戸亮

錦戸亮 (Nishikido Ryo) is a 28 years old Japanese idol and a performing artist (singer-songwriter, actor) under the Japanese talent agency, Johnny & Associates. He was born in Hyogo on November 3rd, 1984 and raised in Osaka. He entered Johnny’s Jimusho on the 6th of September, 1997, and for years was a member of two popular male idol groups; News and 関ジャニ∞ (Kanjani8), both groups officially debuted in 2004. In 2006 Nishikido held his first solo live “Ryo Nishikido Live” from January 5th to 9th in Yokohama Arena and Osaka-Jo Hall. On October 7, 2011 Johnnys & Associates announced that Nishikido (and 山下智久 (Yamashita Tomohisa) - who was the leader of said group - too) would be leaving the group News but would continue within Kanjani8. They said, that scheduling conflicts making it difficult for him to persist as an active member of both bands.
関ジャニ∞ held their 8th anniversary in 2012 and the band is as successful as ever.

He began his acting career in 1998 drama “Binbo Doshin Goyocho”, He won “the best newcomer” award for his role in NHK’s family drama “Teruteru Kazoku” in 2004.
Until then Nishikido played supporting roles in dramas such as “Ganbatte Ikimasshoi”, “1 Litre of Tears”, “Attention Please”, “Last Friends”, “Ryuusei no Kizuna”, “Orthros no Inu” - he has been awarded as “the best supporting actor” for his roles in these last three dramas -, “JOKER Yurusarezaru Sosakan”.
