Mixian (Rice Noodles) is a Chinese singer of the Hani ethnic minority. She was born in 1983 in a village outside Jinghong City, Yunnan Province.
On her first time leaving her mountain village, she was discovered in a singing competition and signed to one of the top Tibetan music companies, which published five audiophile-grade recordings of her voice in 2003.
She was recieved the Best Newcomer award for “Discovering Tanggula” in 2007 and the China Music Golden Bell Award for Best Female Singer.
