About this album

Muzai Moratorium (無罪モラトリアム Innocence Moratorium) is Ringo Sheena’s first album, released on February 24, 1999 by Toshiba EMI. The album debuted at #1 and has sold over 1,433,000 copies. The album was certified triple platinum by the RIAJ for 1,200,000 copies shipped.
Ringo Sheena composed nearly all the songs on this album in her teenage years, prior to her major label debut. The album combines multiple genres of music from both the East and the West, including J-Pop and grunge. Both the album and song titles combine Kanji and English, and the lyrics are written using English and Historical kana usage.

The songs “Akane Sasu Kiro Terasaredo…,” “Keikoku,” “Kōfukuron (Etsuraku-hen)” and “Kabukichō no Joō” were used in TV commercials for Suntory’s The Cocktail Bar range of drinks.

This album includes my best song “marunouchi-sadistic”. That song really shocked me.I was surprised hers view of the world. When I want to calm down, I listen this album or hers another album. As if hers songs are medicine to me.

Just keeps on giving. That moment where you realise that pretty much all moments on this album are stupendous. What was but endearing becomes even more so, and then you can't imagine it to be any other way.
