HearJapan’s week of donation to Japan and six months of continuing efforts
===========================
Yokohama, Japan — March 24th, 2011 — After a week of generous support
from HearJapan customers we are proud to announce that we have been
able to donate $750 to Japan Platform to aid in the Japanese
earthquake relief effort.
One of the reasons HearJapan chose to give to Japan Platform was their
ability to act immediately to the changing situation. After delivering
huge amounts of diapers, toilet paper, heating and cooking fuel, rice,
fruits and many other items, they got word that women were in dire
need of menstrual sanitary products. They quickly mobilized and got
those supplies to the people who needed them.
There have been many reports of donation fraud, even among the biggest
organizations, so HearJapan wanted to assure those donating that their
money was going directly to those in need. We’ve included the full

HearJapan to donate 50% of all sales to Japanese relief effort
===========================
Yokohama, Japan — March 14th, 2011 — As you likely already know, Japan was recently struck by a major earthquake, triggering tsunami, fires and massive disruption to vital services across the entire country.

For the next week, HearJapan will be donating 50% of all sales to Japan Platform, a relief organization that has been performing rescue operations in the affected areas since the day of the earthquake. Due to Japan Platform being on-site in Japan, HearJapan can get the donated money working immediately to help those effected.
HearJapan will not be making any profit from this. In fact HearJapan will be losing money, in effect adding to the donation itself. HearJapan is a small company, but we are committed to doing everything we can to help. We feel this is a great way to get others involved… -

New CDs!! ^^

For those that don't already know, I'm interning in Palo Alto, CA for the summer. On May 15th, I went on a road trip with my friend, Jeff, from Chicago to Los Angeles.
Spending the weekend in Little Tokyo, I hit up Kinokuniya Books and picked up a few CDs I haven't been able to track down locally. (Sadly, I also paid full price, which I suppose I could've done online. But there's something to be said about instant gratification.)
GO!GO!7188 - パレード椎名林檎 - 無罪モラトリアム椎名林檎 - 勝訴ストリップ
My internship started on May 21st, but Jeff wanted to swing down to San Diego for a bit, so he and I made our ways independently to my brother's place in Mountain View, CA. The following weekend, we went up to San Francisco where our first stop was the famed Amoeba Music.
The problem with shopping at Amoeba is that I tend to spend too much money. All at once. It's like issuing a 20 hit combo to my checking account. Not very healthy. Anyway, here's a rundown of that day's take.
