(1991 – 1992)

摩天楼 (Matenrou) was an indies visual kei band formed around 1991 and disbanded in 1992. Members were Kaie (vocals), Közi (guitar), Kenichi (guitar), Mana (bass) and Jun (drums).
Matenrou lasted for some brief months and got to release 2 demo tapes and appear in a V.A. VHS release with 2 live tracks.
When Matenrou disbanded Közi and Mana formed MALICE MIZER, Kenichi formed Kneuklid Romance, Jun formed 翡翠 and Kaie formed Düne××××

    He played drums in his high school band as well I believe. Some visual-rock magazine did an article on that band's reunion and called it "Mana's Not Dead," which featured him on drums while wearing a spiky mask and street clothes. It's not like his later projects though.

    迷宮の扉 is so good I couldn't believe MANA wrote the music. He must have got some severe brain injury around the time Gackt joined Malice Mizer.
