This is going to be crazy. And probably out of chronological order. But my slightly OCD tendencies made me accept the challenge. If anyone actually reads this, I'll be adding sporadically because there's no way I'm getting this done in one day. Also, not adding sub-units (edit3: or entire label releases) 'cause that'd make this even longer. edit: I'm counting DBSK 3 times since I listened to JYJ, then TVXQ!'s current duo, then DB5K. edit2(4): listing the subunit 천상지희 다나&선데이 instead of 천상지희 The Grace since I hadn't listened to them as a full group then.

How varied is your music taste?

First, make a list of your top-20 artists overall. Then, for each of these artists, add the 8 most similar artists to your list. Delete any duplicates, count up the number of entries on your list and this will give you some idea of how eclectic your listening habits are. A score of 9 represents an extremely unvaried musical taste while a 160 represents an extremely varied one.

I deleted the tag 東方神起, because they're in firt position yet, and Instrumental and Nostre Dame de Paris, cause they're not a singer/band. Oh yeah, I deleted G-Dragon and Daesung too, cause there's Big Bang yet.

The idea is to go to the page of your number one artist, and follow the link of its number one similar artist, then repeating that for this artist and so on, noting down each artist as you go. Do this until you've got to 50 artists (not including your number one). If you get any repeats, just go to the second similar artist or the nearest one that you haven't already had.

01 Utada WOW I WONDER WHO UTADA'S TOP SIMILAR ARTIST IS!!

02 安室奈美恵 Who? I knew what I was getting into when I started this. I figured I could learn the names of dozens of Japanese artists I have no idea about and therefore don't particularly care for! Dozens! (Actually I've heard of Amuro Namie, still doesn't mean I know who she is.)

03 倖田來未 (Koda Kumi) So, wasn't she real ugly before all that plastic surgery?

04 浜崎あゆみ (Hamasaki Ayumi) ::sighs:: It only took four clicks! It's like getting to the center of a Tootsie pop, except infinitely more depressing. (I kid! She's sort of okay sometimes. Still sounds like a pissed-off cat, though.)
