Chengdu, Sichuan, China (2006 – present)

Zhang Li Yin (Simplified Chinese: 张力尹; Traditional Chinese: 張力尹; Pinyin: Zhāng Lì Yǐn; Korean: 장리인; born February 28, 1989 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China) is the first Chinese female artist to debut under SM Entertainment. She speaks both Mandarin (which is her first language) and moderate Korean and has released singles in both Korea and China, singing in both languages. Known for being the first foreigner to win the Best Newcomer award at the 2006 MKMF, Liyin is SM’s secret weapon to break into the Chinese market. She currently has two singles and one album under her belt, with plans to release her first mini-album at the beginning of 2011.

Her official website is http://zhangliyin.smtown.com.

She's currently in the middle of recording her 2nd album! She updated her Weibo to say that one of the songs is a higher pitched cheerful song.

I really hope that she'll be able to release something soon. All this pushing back is really sad and I feel horrible for her not being able to share with us.
