Ever thought he would surpass his masterful work for "RD Sennou Chousashitsu"? Well, I think with "Break Blade" he did just that. But really, it's unbelievable how this man never ceases to improve and, while maintaining his trademarks, such as the rapid woodwinds flourishes, the sinister brass glissandos, the pounding percussion and the usual chorus or soprano, he crafts every time something more ravishing and accomplished. But he also writes many themes and most of them are wonderful and exhaustively arranged throughout his soundtracks. In "Break Blade", Hirano juxtaposes his atonal approach with Classical and Romantic inspirations, giving one of his most diverse and creative works to date. So, I'd recommend anyone that's enthusiast about his music to give this soundtrack a listen, since it will surely be a rewarding experience.

The OSTs he composed for Death Note and Ouran are so majestic and jaw-dropping! This man never ever fails to amaze me.
