Heart Station is the second and titular track on Utada Hikaru’s fifth studio album, HEART STATION. It was also released as part of HEART STATION/Stay Gold, her 20th single.

The lyrics of “Heart Station” center around the metaphor of a radio station that connects people by picking up on the secret frequencies of the heart. It is a bitter-sweet song about a couple who are going through the end of a relationship and the both of them are unsure if they feel the same way because they aren’t talking and communicating properly. Thus, they rely on “heart station” to convey their true feelings. The song has an experimental and ethereal wave feel to it, while still maintaining pop roots.
