Biography

Amano Tsuki (天野月), also known as Amano Tsukiko (天野月子), affectionately known as “tsukko” (つっこ), is a singer who is famous mostly for her song 蝶 (Chou), which was the ending song of the game Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. She also sang Fatal Frame III’s ending song, 聲 (Koe).

She left her Major Record Label, Pony Canyon, and was left only on her Independent Label, Otokura Records, making her become an indies artist like the beginning of her career. As of September 1st, she has been signed to SMA Players, a major record label, but still releases under her indies label.

As of 2008, she wanted to be recognized as Tsuki, not Tsukiko. On August 1st, 2008 she announced on her blog with a very personal letter that her album ZERO will be the last one in her solo career.

On January 10, 2010, she announced she would be returning to music.

Amano is also a part of A LUNCH, her side-project called which concept is a bit different although still similar to her solo one.

An interesting fact is that she has named a few of her albums and songs after famous American actors or actresses. Examples:
1st album: Sharon Stones (Sharon Stone)
2nd album: MEG & LiON (Meg Ryan)
song: トムパンクス (Translated as ‘Tom Punks’ is phonetically similar to Tom Hanks)
1st coupling album: Winona Riders (Winona Ryder)
2nd coupling album: ウマ・サーモン (Translated as ‘Uma Salmon’ is phonetically similar to Uma Thurman)
