    In fact, his Wakadaisho series owes a lot to mid-60s Elvis Movies, but in their own way they're all classics. And meanwhile he recorded succession of albums in which everything from surf instrumental, crooner ballads, folky sing-alongs and some wigged-out fuzz raveups residing on same sides! A true Renaissance Man, who was incidentally the only one show business person allowed to meet the Beatles in person on their 1966 visit to Tokyo.
