ALWAYS 三丁目の夕日 (ALWAYS Sanchōme no Yūhi, 2005) won Japan Academy Prize’s Outstanding Achievement in Music award in 2006. Its sequel ALWAYS 続・三丁目の夕日 (ALWAYS Zoku · Sanchōme no Yūhi, 2007) was nominated for the same honour in 2008. Satō’s other film contributions include シムソンズ (Simsons, 2005) and 手紙 (Tegami, 2006), among many others.

Satō also provided music for several TV dramas, like GOOD LUCK!! As a young composer, Satō’s style is a hybrid of rock and synthesized/electronic sounds with orchestral elements.

Maaan... Battle in the Air from Eureka 7 is like... on par with John Williams. It's THAT GOOD. And less than two minutes long (sadly). Short but sweet? Hell yeah.
