Nakaido “Chabo” Reiichi (仲井戸麗市) is best known as the composer of the Serial Experiments Lain soundtrack. He is also famous in the Japanese music scene, first for the 1970’s Folk-Duo 古井戸 (Fluid, debut in 1972). His most outstanding and influential work was as lead guitarist for the band RCサクセション (RC Succession), and for his later work with 忌野清志郎 (Imawano Kiyoshiro), the frontman of RCサクセション.

I fixed the description a bit. 仲井戸麗市 mostly goes by the nickname Chabo. He was in the folk band Furuido with his friend Yoshitaro Kanazaki. After Furuido, he was lead guitarist for RC Succession, the greatest and most famous rock band during the 70's and 80's in Japan. He has a bunch of great solo stuff as well.

Damn beautiful soundtrack. It's funny, because I can't remember hearing any of it in the series.

He is actually a pretty good guitarist. He reminds me a bit of Bruce Springsteen.

It sucks that I can't seem find any of his work apart from Lain. I guess I'll just have to move to Japan.

Duvet (the opening song) is by Bôa. Not Lain's Theme, Lain's Theme is an entirely different song.

Why Reiichi Nakaido has so much different entries? Nobody knows who's in fact this guy? Lol.

Am I going to have to go to Japan and track him down...? I suppose it'd be a learning experience...

If the artist page is Nakaido Reichi, why the double 'i' in the description? And more info would be nice, but it seems hard to find. @cogsturning: A GREAT anime soundtrack =)
