Eri Kamei (亀井絵里, born December 23rd 1988) is a sixth generation member of Morning Musume. She was part of Morning Musume Sakura Gumi when it was active. She was featured in Musume Document 2005 several times during March 2005 and in Musume DOKYU! in April 2005.
Initially, Kamei struggled the most out of the sixth generation to create a presence for herself, with even her verse for Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari questioning what kind of character she would become. She got her big break playing the role of field reporter Elizabeth Kyamei on the HelloPro News segment on Hello! Morning, showing her comedic side and breaking her out of her shell. She has since tackled a number of comedic roles, with notable favorites like her parody of Yon-sama (Korean actor Bae Yong Jun). She even got her own corner on the revised HelloPro Hour segment as salesman Eric Kamezou in “Eric Kamezou no Maido Ari.”
Has released 4 solo photobooks: Kamei Eri (2004), DAYS (2005), 17sai (2006) and Love Hello! (2007).
On August 8, 2010, it was announced on Tsunku’s blog that Junjun, Linlin, and Kamei Eri would graduate from Morning Musume.
