Biography

Kusumi Koharu (久住小春) born July 15, 1992 in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. She is the joint-youngest member of Morning Musume (She and Aika are both 15) and is the only 7th generation Morning Musume member (Only Goto Maki was in a generation with 1 member, the 3rd generation). Before she joined Morning Musume she was the captain of her school’s volleyball team and has been a part of Metro Rabbits H.P. since its formation in the beginning of 2006. She was called the “Miracle” by Tsunku. On July, 2006, she released her first solo single, “Koi Kana”, theme of Kirarin☆Revolution (An anime). Her 2nd single “Balalaika” was released on October 25th 2007 and was the 2nd opening song of her anime.

    I'm stubbornly sticking to this. I tagged it this way in the beginning because I thought that this Kirari anime couldn't last forever, and I wanted to have any solo stuff she might make after that combined with the old songs. How long is this Kirarin Revolution anyway?

    Okay, I LOVE Maki more than anything, but she didn't start out that great solo. Her first few singles are incredibly nasal, honestly. Koharu seems to be improving at a steady rate, and I like her a lot. I wonder if we can merge this with this: http://www.last.fm/music/月島きらり starring 久住小春(モーニング娘。)

    I think a lot of people don't like her because she was made such a big deal out of, and she's not that great at singing and not that pretty and everything. That is because each of those things is true. >_>

    I agree-- I don't understand why people don't like her. Her singing has been improving ever since she joined, and she catches on really quickly. I really like her.
