中村正人 (Masato Nakamura), born October 1, 1958, Japan, is a Japanese musician who is a bassist of the band DREAMS COME TRUE.

He composed the music of the first two Sonic the Hedgehog games for the Sega Mega Drive. Most likely, his most famous and notable piece of work could be the Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog, as it lead to remixes and remakes of the song and stage in the games Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic Battle, and Sonic Advance 3. The Final Zone is also regarded as one of the most memorable boss fight songs from the Sega system.

For some reason I've been humming the Marble Zone theme for a few weeks now - and yet I always hated that level, but still... "Du du du, duu, duu duu duu, duu duu duu, duu duu duu duu duu duu duu duu duuuuuuuu, dilililililili, duu duu duu, duu duu duu, duu duu duu..." etc.[2]

The Yamaha synth on the original Megadrive/Genesis is almost as legendary as the MOS/Commodore SID.

@maatheuz that's big talk, but then again you're putting a lot of composers in that list. i would put Shoji Meguro damn close to Uematsu, but Uematsu's early years are pretty hard to top.

This is how my childhood sounds like. If I'm going to die one day, the Sonic the Hedgehog OST's should be played on my funeral.

Why don't we use the romanticized version of his name? I can't type in Japanese characters.
