Biography

一ノ宮頼子 (Yoriko Ichinomiya) is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter whose often sad, slow-paced, dark-themed songs could be described as experimental folk with some jazz and neoclassical influence. Yoriko’s lyrics are written in English or Japanese and either whispered or sung in a nonchalant, dreamy way. The minimal arrangements create an intimate atmosphere which is sometimes reminiscent of ambient music.

    @autumn_luck and anyone interested: you can buy the album, like I did, on the link Van posted below. Tango Koiuta is a real masterpiece, so don't hesitate to support this amazing artist! The only weak track is the bonus track; all the rest is flawless, hauntingly beautiful and moving. It's a shame she's still so obscure.
