Osaka, Japan (1977 – 1981, 1997 – present)

レイジー (LAZY) is a hard rock band formed in Osaka, Japan in 1977. The lineup consisted of 影山ヒロノブ (Hironobu Kageyama) on vocals, 高崎晃 (Akira Takasaki) on guitar, 田中宏幸 (Hiroyuki Tanaka) on bass, 樋口宗孝 (Munetaka Higuchi) on drums and 井上俊次 (Shunji Inoue) on keyboards.

The band split up in 1981. Takasaki and Higuchi went on to form heavy metal band Loudness, while Kageyama has pursued a solo career and is most famous for providing music to anime series, most notably Dragon Ball Z.

The band reformed in 1997 and have been periodically active since. Following the deaths of Tanaka and Higuchi in 2006 and 2008, respectively, the lineup has featured 奥田民生 (Tamio Okuda) and 斉藤和義 (Kazuyoshi Saito) as guest members.
