Japan (1986 – 1994)

マサ子さん (Masakosan) was a band from Japan, formed in 1986. They are a sort of cutesy lo-fi nonsense band with some of that Devo aesthetic.
The group initially started as a duo formed by two young sisters, Mayutan (vocals) and Sabrina Brunei (vocals). After the publication of the debut album “つちのこ男爵” in 1989, they were soon joined by Gala (taishōgoto), Uika (bass), Riyoko Kebiyama (drums) and Kemumaki Tanaka (keyboards).

Masakosan released the EP “ムウ=ミサ” in 1990 and the second album “MONKEYS WAX” in 1993.
After many live performances, in 1994 the group ceased to be a sextet and came back to a duo formation (although not releasing music anymore).
