Sat 13 Aug – SUMMER SONIC 2011

　MetallicaのMaster Of Puppets 20周年での来日から5年。なかなか観に行く機会や、観に行きたくなるアーティストにも巡り会えなかったのですが、今年久し振りに参戦してみました。

　今年はRed Hot Chilli Peppersが出る、というのは去年の後半くらいから言われていたし、実際発表になってからのアーティストのLine Upがなかなか心弾かれものがあり。zebrahead、マキシマム ザ ホルモン、Public Image Ltd.等、「おー、サマソニもやっと元に戻ったな!!」という気合いが感じられ、今回の震災で停滞ムードだった音楽シーンをまた復活させてくれるその瞬間を体験したかったんですよね。

　結局買ったのは14日の1日券のみだったんだけれど、やっぱり2日券購入すべきだったな、といたく反省&後悔。というか、自分が1日券買った後になってAvril Lavigneが追加になるんだもん、ずるいよおおおお!!Arrested Developmentだけでは2日券買えないよ、と思ってたのに...この2アーティストを観るためだけでも13日の価値はあったわ。残念!!!

　今回line UpされているアーティストのどのCDも持ってないという状況でしたが、そんなことを忘れさせてくれるほど、ホントに楽しいFestivalでした。初めて聴く名前の若いバンドあり、大ベテランのバンドあり、それぞれが自分達の持てる力を十分に発揮して日本のファンの為にプレイをし、その熱い演奏に応えて日本のファン(結構外国人客もいましたが)が騒ぎまくる。なんていう素晴らしい光景!!

　前回のSummer Sonic 06ではマリンステージのみ観ていたので、今回は(あまり熱中しているバンドがいないので)いろいろ観て回る事に。だから、所謂Liveレポ的なモノではないですが、目についたのをいろいろと。

　★物販-Summer Sonicの公式サイトやFacebookにも書かれてあったので、イヤな予感してたけれど、物販の品切れ早過ぎ。開場に併せて行ったのも敗因の一つだけれど、もうちょっと何とかして欲しかった。

またもや会社帰りに突発的に3人で2時間。
週末なので2時間1200円と微妙な値段設定。

前半3曲は初めて歌った曲、プロメテウスがなかなか難しい。
HTTとサカナは二回目、もっと練習しよう。
後半4曲は久しく歌ってなかった曲、LUNA SEAとか歌ったの何年ぶりだろ。
相変わらず統一感が皆無。

長時間歌うことがなくなってるのでこの程度歌っても喉が痛くなるのだ・・・
仕事にゆとりができたらヒトカラ行きたい

I like all of them, but to me, Kashiyuka stands out.

April 2010 has been a pivotal month for me, and as such has been quite empty of music scrobbles (if I could scrobble with my MP3 player whilst on the bus that would have changed I assure you). Today I will run through my top artists as shown on the band banner on my About Me page.

33 - Dissection

Dissection have been in my music library on Last FM for quite some time now. They were one of the first black metal bands for me to gain an interest to. Unfortunately, even though they were played frequently when I used Last FM radio, now that I'm relying on my mp3 collection, I have a very small number of tracks by this artist. I'm glad to see that Dissection are still hanging on, though, as they are a brilliant band.
