ピンク・レディー (Pink Lady) is a Japanese pop duo that was active from 1976 to 1981 and again from 2010 to present. The group is famous for its hugely successful hits in Japan (with nine consecutive platinum singles between 1976 and 1978), as well as the short-lived TV program “Pink Lady” in the United States, released on DVD as “Pink Lady and Jeff.” It is notable that Pink Lady is only one of two Japanese artists to to reach the U.S. Top 40. Their single “Kiss In The Dark” peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September 1979. According to Billboard magazine, Pink Lady has sold over 40 million singles and 25 million albums since their debut in 1976.
