ヒラマミキオ (currently uses the katakana style of his name).
昼海幹音 (Hirama Mikio) was born in Hokkaido on May 5th, 1976. Mikio was interested in music since childhood, and soon after he turned 15, he started getting involved in bands. From early on, he intended to pursue a solo career so he moved to Tokyo. He started releasing his solo songs on an independent label entering the indies chart CRJ often. At the same time he began participating (as a guitarist) in many studio sessions, and later became a professional support member.

In 2001, he recorded and produced his own album, ‘Yume to Negoto’. In 2004, he joined Shiina Ringo in her new band, Tokyo Jihen. During that time, ‘Yume to Negoto’ was re-released and handed out at Tokyo Jihen’s Dynamite! tour (later, this album was re-released yet again in 2006).

He left Tokyo Jihen in July 2005 to focus on his solo activities, releasing an album on October 19, 2005, called ‘Bunmei Koukyou Gata Virus’. Followed in 2006 by “BLACK BONE MUSICIEN LABEL”, and “When I feel the sun in Tokyo” in 2007. Since then he has participated with many more artists contributing both live and studio support.
