Biography

ヒダリ (Hidari) is a three-piece power-pop band from Kobe, Japan, formed in 2003. The name “Hidari” comes from the first syllable of each of the given names of the original three members, Hiroshi Ohta (Guitar, Lead Vocals), Daisuke Kozuki (Bass, Backup Vocals), and Ryosuke [?] (Drums), though the drummer soon quit and was replaced by knob-twiddler ‘Yoma’ Aoki. Aoki quit in 2006 and was replaced by American Justin Bacon in early 2007. Their first full-length album (ヒダリのしっぽ) was released in December of 2006 on Japan’s Bad News Records.
