ゲルニカ (Guernica), presumably named after the famous painting Guernica by Pablo Picasso, this Japanese trio from the 1980s specializes in music in a retro 1920’s and 30’s cabaret style. Their early recordings are primarily electronic (using synthesizers instead of traditional acoustic instruments) but their later works are performed by a live orchestra.

The primary members of Guernica are:
戸川純 (Jun Togawa) - vocalist
上野耕路 (Koji Ueno) - composer, pianist and violinist

太田螢一 (Keiichi Ohta) - lyricist and art director

    Where can I find the lyrics??! I need to know if she's saying "私はオとに" or "私はコとに" in カフェ・ド・サヰコ!! I really like the lyric "私は音に私を見つけて” if that is indeed what she's saying.

    Hmm, well I own the first 2 disc albums 3 times each (seperately, in the teichiku works box and on vinyl) so I cant bring myself to buy them a 4th time (yet). I'm guessing if they did Togawa releases last year, Guernica this year, then there'll be some form of Yapoos rereleases too. Just a new DVD would do me fine :-)

    The third disc in the pic is part of the package. I have the track listing but don't know if it's live or demos or what. The extra disc is an HMV/Larsen preorder bonus, and Google translate says it's Ueno live on the piano. There are some tracks on YouTube that are him on piano doing instrumental versions of Guernica songs, so I assume it's either those tracks or something similar. I don't have a copy of Teichiku Works, so whatever I get is new to me (at least to own that is).

    So.... its the Guernica parts minus the bonus shit from the Teichiku Works set? Damn, I was hoping for something special like a DVD or a tshirt. Still, will be good for those that don't have it already I guess. You talk about a bonus disc- is that in addition to the 3 on the pic or including the 3rd disc?
