1) Happy End’s albums blended Western folk singing with Japanese melodies. Its members were 細野晴臣 (Haruomi Hosono, bass, vocals), 松本隆 (Takashi Matsumoto, drums, from the band Apryl Fool), 大瀧詠一 (Eiichi Ohtaki, guitar, vocals), and 鈴木茂 (Shigeru Suzuki, guitar, vocals). They originally belonged to the URC Records recording label, and later the Bellwood Records label. Hosono later went on to join the Yellow Magic Orchestra.

In 2003, the Happy End song “Kaze Wo Atsumete” appeared on the Lost in Translation movie soundtrack.

2) Happy End was formed February of 2009 by anarchist singer-songwriter Kike of Todo o Nada, Kolumna Durruti, and Paso a Paso. Their first EP titled Nueva Era was released Oct. 14 by masquepalabras Records to buy or download for free.
