Monica Sex is one of the most successful Rock bands in Israel. The band was formed in 1993 in Tel-Aviv. The band had hard times before they released their first album “פצעים ונשיקות” (Wounds and Kisses). “פצעים ונשיקות” was surprisingly good and successful, therefore the band went to perform in the U.S in night clubs, and translated their lyrics to English.
The band’s biggest hit is “Grey Hit” - “מכה אפורה”, which was the theme song for a T.V show, which made Monica Sex start gaining recognition in Israel.
In 2001 they made a comeback release - with a new album called “יחסים פתוחים” (Open Relationships), and in 2003 they released the album “חיות מחמד” (Pets).
After a long break from recording together and a period in which each of the band members concentrated on his own projects, the band released a new album in February 2011, named מנגינה (Melody).
