Yossi Babliki is one of the most unique artists in the Israeli rock scene. He is characterized with a sad, melodic and somewhat calm music that touches and affects you immediately.
In 1986 Yossi Babliki was one of the founders of a group named Sedek (initials that mean “The Extreme, Religious Left” /”Ha-smol, Ha-Dati, Kitzoni”) that became Punch. He was the lead singer and creator (with fellow artist Shalom Gad) in the band’s first two albums (‘Punch’ -91’, “Ha Zolelet” -92’).
After the group disbanded in 93’ Babliki was engaged in writing about music in several journals. Between 94-95 he recorded songs that came out in his debut album from 96’, “Albom ha - Mitzadim”. Babliki wrote and composed all the songs in the album. In “Albom ha - Mitzadim” Babliki revealed a calm and special melodic sensitivity and on the other hand rage and emotion expression in the lyrics.
In 2002 Punch reunited and produced a new album, “Dana Raata Abam”. In 2004 Babliki’s second Album came out, “Ha Geveret im Ha-Yahalomim”” (on which he worked five years). The album came out in Babliki’s independent label, “Traktor Productions”.
