Yossi Elephant was born on 25th of July, 1959, in Ramat-Gan, Israel.
Elephant was basicly the father figure for all Israeli alternative rock. During the 80’s he was a pioneer in the indie-alternative sound coming out of Israel, contributing to the rise of about every Israeli band that counts for anything in the alternative scene.
Sounding alot like early Berry Saharof, and Fortis, voice almost shockingly simillar to Amir Lev, and a huge influence on bands like The Top Hat Carriers of the late eighties, and Raash. His influence still resonates today in any song called Israeli Rock.

Elephant died on 6th of September, 1991 as a cause of a cardiac arrest while performing.
