ДримбаДаДзига - Ukrainian Folk Rock band (transliterated: DrymbaDaDzyga).
The idea to form this band came into existence during Spring time in 2006 thanks to the initiative of bass guitarist Vitaly Yermaka, guitarist Sergey Hitsuna, vocalist Inna Prokopchuk, trumpeter & drymba Sergey Soloviy and sound engineer Sergey Brovarnyuk. Their ideas became life … , took shape and gave an answer to the following question: ‘Is it possible to unite ethnic music with modern music and still remain contemporary?’ The answer to this question was the emergence of the band ‘DrymbaDaDzyga’ to the Ukrainian musical scene, who’s songs have deep Ukrainian roots and powerful original sound with elements of ska, funk and hardcore.
The band began performing in concerts in 2007. Their first performance took place at the Slavic Rock Festival: “I love Carpathians”. This concert was the peculiar start in the next list of fests and club performances of DrymbaDaDzyga in Ukraine and abroad. The first grand fest of the group was “ The Land of Dreams”, where DrymbaDaDzyga became a pleasant surprise for the audience. The next steps were the performances on fests, which were held for the first time in Ukraine, had huge level of the organization and impressed with the list of the artists.
