Ukraine (2000 – present)

ВИА Гра (VIA Gra) is a female pop group from Ukraine formed in 2000. Produced by well-known Constantin Meladze (brother of famous Russian singer Валерий Меладзе (Valery Meladze)). Released in English as Nu Virgos.

The member lineup has changed a lot since the start in 2000, and the group have had a total of 13 members.
Since late 2011 the member lineup is Albina Dzhanabaeva, Eva Bushmina & the newest member Santa Dimopulos, which replaced Nadezhda Meyher-Granovskaya. Nadezhda were one of the original members from the formation in 2000, she left the band on December 1, 2011 due to her second pregnancy.

Their name means “Viagra” and “The Band “Gra” simultaneously - it’s play on words. The concept is playing on sex and looking sexy in their Music Videos and on stage. The band has really extraordinary popularity in both Ukraine and Russia, but also in the former Soviet Union countries.
