Andrej Gorohov is a prominent russian music critic, journalist, artist and writer. He was born in Moscow in 1961 and graduated from The Moscow State University as a programmer. Throughout the 80s he did hard-edge painting and in 1991 he moved to Cologne, Germany, where he tried to do conceptual art, photography. In Cologne Gorohov worked at a beer plant and guarded a local TV tower. In 1996 he began working as a music journalist at a radio station “Deutsche Welle” (German Wave). He still performs a weekly radio programme “Muzprosvet”.
