Thessaloniki, Greece (2004 – present)

Κακό Συναπάντημα (Kako Sinapantima, translation: Bad Encounter) was originally formed in 2004 at Thessaloniki, Greece as a four member / band. The lyrics of their music are characterized by their directness and their social content.

They made their fist live appearances at the Antiracism Festival of Thessaloniki as well as to other cultural festivals at the university camps of Kavala and Serres. Meanwhile, the sound of the band was enriched and nowadays the band consists of 9 musicians. Reggae Dub sound combined with Greek and English lyrics. In 2004, Κακό Συναπάντημα recorded their first demo CD’s which were distributed hand by hand.

On June 16, 2008 they released their debut album. They have performed at Komotini, Kavala, Serres, Volo, Halkidiki, Athens and Thessaloniki. They have also performed as a support band with One Drop Forward, Soul Fire, Dub incorporation on the stages Gagarin (Athens), Apothiki Mylos and Ydrogios (Thessaloniki).

They have participated in many festivals and protest concerts in university camps. On their live performances they basically play their music along with a dose of improvisation.
