Eleni Foureira (Greek: Ελένη Φουρέιρα, born and raised in Athen, Greece) is a Greek singer. Growing up, she took guitar lesson, and worked in the theater for 3 years. She is also a model and designer (she designs her own clothes for her appearance). She expresses herself through her songs.
She started singing at 18, and a year later, Βασίλη Κοντόπουλο and Αντρέα Γιατράκο proposed her to form a trio pop and modern laika girl group, along with Μαρία Μακρή and Αλκμήνη Χατζηγιάννη - and called themselves, Mystique. Their first single, “Σε άλλη σελίδα”, composed by Βίκυς Γεροθόδωρου and Κώστα Κυφωνίδη, immediately became a radio hit. It was then followed by the release of their first studio album, “Μαζί”.
Eleni started her solo career by participating in the Eurovision, with the song, “Η κιβωτός του Νώε”, composed by Μάνο Πυροβολάκη and Γιάννη Μπαντουράκη.
In 2010, she released a self-titled album “Ελένη Φουρέιρα”.
