Židrūns is the band of garage rock, indie rock and art rock, formed in 2003 in Bauska, Latvia.
Through the years band have played concerts in many local venues with domestic and foreign bands, also toured in the Baltic States, performed in almost all main Latvian independent culture music festivals.
The band have participated in Nokia Open Stage contest with musicians from the Baltic State region. Their songs has been played on Latvian radio station’s rotation. In 2008 Židrūns recorded their debut album Židrūnam Sāp, it was released on SKYR establishment, followed by Dzeltenbaltdzeltenais in 2010.
In February 2011 Židrūns announced an indefinite hiatus.
At the beginning of 2012 the band reunite and come back to rehearsals, Anrijs Korps replacing their original drummer Didzis Jurgelāns. The current lineup members associated acts are Nielslens Lielsliens, Vonko, Mazie Smirdīgie Kociņi, and 9Horizon.
The current lineup consists of:
Klāvs Kalnačs - guitar, vocals;
Ritvars Bīders - guitar;
Ulvis Urtāns - bass guitar;
Anrijs Korps - drums.
Former members:
Didzis Počs - guitar;
Didzis Jurgelāns - drums.
