Øyonn Groven Myhren (1969) was raised with music and singing in her home and her family background. She is the daughter of kvedar (traditional folksinger) Dagne Groven Myhren (Oslo/Telemark) and Hardanger fiddler Magne Myhren (Hallingdal/Numedal). In 1997 she was awarded the Saga Award for her folk singing. She plays the lyre and the flute. She has worked extensively with medieval music, including the band Aurora Borealis.
